Yes Singaporeans, the PRCs are here, the Indians are here and the Bangladeshis are here.
Yes they can't understand English, they are always sweaty, they talk in their own native language among themselves and they are everywhere.
But that doesn't give you any right to disrespect them, to look down on them and to despise them. You are no different from them, after all.
All of them are hard working, honest people trying to earn a salary to support their family. What's worse, they're in a foreign land, working under mind-numbing hot sun, and get discriminated by the local residence, their efforts and works are unrecognized and unappreciated at all. So, do you still think you have all the right and reasons to roll your eyes and complain about the foreign workers?
Wake up, Singaporeans, without these hardworking men and women, you're not going to get your HDB, BTO or not, you're not going to get your circle line and downtown line, neither will you have your MBS, double helix bridge, your shopping malls, your schools, your condos etc. etc. In my opinion, the whole of Singapore is built on the sweat and tears of foreign migrant workers. So show them some respect, show them some smiles and friendly faces.
And stop complaining. It's useless, they're not going to go away as you wish, and even if your wish is granted, you're probably going to regret it sooner or later. So accept it and learn to live with it.
